The police?" ::Sir Derek asked. He looked at the 'Scarlet Lady', and back
at the fairy god person. "I will head them off the other way. My Scarlet
Lady, will you keep the maiden here with you?"
"Yes, of course, ma chere." The Scarlet Lady smiled. Jewel was shaking.
The Scarlet Lady, went to her and embraced her. "Sir Derek, is very clever.
Perhaps, that was one of the many ways, he received, his nobility."
"I earned it, Scarlet Lady." ::Sir Derek winked at her::
"He will keep them away from here." The Scarlet Lady said.
"He will?" Jewel asked.
"None will stop him, he is Royalty, in so many words. They will follow his
orders. Go, Sir Knight, keep them from here. I will take this poor girl,
to
my chambers." The Scarlet Lady said. "With this, Fairy God Person, Daniel
Malloy. Sir Knight come back."
"Yes, Scarlet Lady, I will, for I need to speak to you...in regards to the
cloaked stranger." Sir Derek whispered in her ear.
"Oui, ma chere, we will wait."
:::Sir Derek steadfast heads to the door, and closes it. He makes it down
the path, just as the police see him.:::
"Sir Knight?" The head policeman asked.
"Yes?" Sir Derek responded.
"My Lord, we are in search of a maiden, names Jewel. Some said, they had
seen her coming here." The head policeman asked.
"She is not here." Sir Derek responded quickly
"My Lord?" The head policeman asked.,
"Are you questioning me? The King's Courier?" Sir Derek barked the command
out.
"No, my Lord, of course not, It is just." The head policeman stuttered.
"No, there is no just about it. There is no maiden there. I delivered the
invite, to the lady of the house. There was no maiden in there. Or did I
see one come there. I will help you search for this maiden, if you need my
assistance." Sir Derek said, as he placed his gauntlets (gloves) on.
"Well, yes, my Lord, we have it under control." The head Police man said
"Yes, that is why I will accompany you." Sir Derek arrogantly replied. "I
have more authority in this village than you. I am the King's Black Knight.
Do you know what that is, Officer?"
"Well, I..."
"Apparently, that means you do not. That means, I am his protector and
guardian. Same goes to the Queen Mother, and his Royal Majesty, Prince
Louis. Do you understand me now? That also means, I have laws to abide,
and
curfews to keep. There should be no maiden out here. Forbid it, that I
have
to do your job. Now, are we going to stand here all night, and wait for the
maiden to come up to us?
"No, my Lord." The head Police man muttered.
"Then, let us hurry not."
:::Sir Derek, looks back, and see's the Scarlet Lady in the window, and
gives
her a nod of the head, she responds back, and shuts her blinds. As Sir
Derek

After the Black Knight and the decoy police had left the
the Scarlet Lady's flat. Feeling that they were safe, Kay had let the fairy
god person Daniel bring out Jewel from her hiding place in
her chamber. After a few minutes of silence between the 3. There

the masked brute only tightened his grip on her arm.

:::Sir Black Knight Derek, see's the Prince, inside the castle safely.
Before anyone notices, he was gone. Prince Louis waits in the library, for
Sir Knight Derek to return. Sir Black Knight Derek, walks to the Throne
room, where the King and Queen, are waiting for his report. He walks in,
and
kneels at the Thrones, of the King and Queen Mother.:::
"Ah, Sir Black Knight Derek, what have you to report?" King Marius asked.
"My King." ::The Knight kneels::: "I have to report unto you, that all of
the invites, have been delivered, all throughout the Kingdom."
"All of them, Sir Knight?" Queen Pandora asks.
"Yes, my Queen, all of them. I have the list, and marks my by all, that
show
they were received, by the fathers, or guardians, of all the maidens in the
Kingdom." Sir Derek says.
"Ah, you may approach, the Thrones, and hand the list to me, Sir Knight."
King Marius says.
"Yes, my King." Sir Derek hands the list to King Marius. He looks it over.
"Ah, that is pleasant, you have worked fast. The ball is two nights. You
will be joining the festivities, yes?" King Marius asked.
"I am on duty, that night, my King. To keep the peace at the Ball. I will
have all my Knights, under my tutelage, nearby and all the entrances and
exits. I have taken the liberties, of doubling the other guards as well."
Sir Derek said.
"Well, now, surely you deserve a chance, to have some fun. You will, and
that is my final order." King Marius, winks, and gives a gentle smile.
"As you command, my King."
"I want you by my son, at all costs, as it were." King Marius said.
"Yes, Sir Knight, we trust you to stand with him. He always enjoys your
company." Queen Pandora says.
"Yes, my Queen, I shall make sure I am present." Sir Derek says.
"Good, oh yes, Sir Knight, my old ally, the Pharoah Khayman arrives here
soon, with his three Queens, Maharet, Mekare, and Jesse. I want you to
double the guards, tonight, as well, as show our guests to their chambers.
Next to my wife's and mine's Royal Bedchambers." King Marius said.
"As you command, my King." Sir Derek nods and bows his head. "Forgive me,
but, I must tend to my Prince, it is his fencing lessons now. He has
studied
all day. He just asked me, before I reported unto you, of the invites, my
King."
"Oh yes, by all means. Do not take too long with my son, our Royal guests
will be here, in a few hours." King Marius said.
"As you command, my King. I will be with my Prince in the courtyard, and
will tell my guards, to let me know, when they see their Royal carriage
approach."
"Ah, you are always ahead of the game, my Knight. I will say this to you."
King Marius said.
"Yes, my King?" Sir Derek asks.
"Your father, would be proud of you today. He was my best Black Knight. And
most loyal. Always remember that." King Marius smiles.
"Thank you my King." Sir Derek humbly bows his head.
"And your mother, as well, a lovely woman." Queen Pandora chimed.
"Yes, my Queen, thank you both. I am off to tend to my Prince." Sir Derek
bowed.
"Proceed, you are dismissed." King Marius waves his hand.
:::Sir Black Knight Derek hurries to the library, and does not see his
Prince. He leans against bookshelf, shakes head and rolls his eyes. He
walks down, and out to the courtyard, where he see's his Prince, waiting for
him patiently::::
:::Sir Black Knight Derek, and the Prince Louis, were in the courtyard
sparring against one another. Sir Knight, knocking his Prince on his
backside. Many numerous times.:::
Sir Derek: "Never my Prince, turn your back, on an opponent, unless they are
a corpse."
Prince Louis: "Yes, Sir Knight, oh what is that?" Sir Derek turns his back,
and Prince Louis knocks him in the back, and sends him sprawling. His own
sword on his Sir Knight. "Fooled you, quite well, my friend." Prince Louis
lends him Sir Derek's hand. The two of them share a laugh.
Sir Philip: "My Lord, and Prince, the carriage is approaching."
Prince Louis: "Who's carriage?"
Sir Derek: "The Pharoah Khayman and his three Queens approach."
Prince Louis: "Three?"
Sir Derek: "Yes, Mekare, Maharet, and Jesse."
Prince Louis: "Well, see them in. Enough lessons for the night. Sir Derek
see that they are comfortable, and then meet me in library. I wish to speak
to you."
Sir Derek: "Yes, my Liege." Sir Derek salutes the Prince with his sword,
sheathes his own, and walks to the gates.
:::Black Knight Sir Derek, see's the Pharoah and kneels before him.:::
Pharoah Khayman: "Ah, is that a strapping one? Red hair as well. What is
your name, Sir Knight?"
Sir Derek: "Sir Black Knight Derek. At your service."
Pharoah Khayman: "Yes, well, I shall remember that. Assist my wives from
the carriage Sir Knight, and take me to my old friend, King Marius."
Sir Derek: "Yes, my Pharoah."
:::Sir Derek assists, the three red haired wives as well. The three of them,
smile at him. His eyes widen, as he quickly looks away.:::
Mekare: "I want one." she touches his face
Maharet: "I would like this one as well." she touches the other side of his
face.
Jesse: "Sisters please, you embarrass, the poor boy. Forgive my older
sisters, they revel in handsome and beauty."
Sir Derek: "Yes, right, come this way, my ladies."
Mekare: "Ah, and he has an English accent of some kind."
Maharet: "Does not matter, what language he speaks, I want him."
Pharoah Khayman: "WIVES!"
Mekare/Maharet/Jesse: "Yes husband."
:::Sir Derek escorts the Pharaohs wives to the Throne room, behind Pharoah
Khayman. King Marius waits patiently, and embraces his old friend, Pharoah
Khayman:::
King Marius: "Oh, what a pleasure to see you again, my old friend. I have
feel I have waited years for this."
Pharoah Khayman: "I see, that we had arrived in enough time."
King Marius: "Oh yes, of course. The ball begins tonight at sunset."
Pharoah Khayman: "And how is your son, the Prince, just a mere babe of five
years old when I seen him last. Twenty five now?"
King Marius: "Oh yes, yes. I was younger than he, when Pandora and I were
wed. Now is the time. No more schooling for him. Now, he must become a
true Prince, and have his Princess."
Pharoah Khayman: "And what of this youngster here. Your Black Knight."
King Marius: "What of him? Good man, fine soldier, always the ambitious
one. His father, was my best friend. Valiantly died, saving me. Sir Derek,
is part of my family. And my son's confidant." He whispers.
Pharoah Khayman: "Good, I want to purchase him."
Sir Derek: "My King?"
King Marius: "Purchase? My old friend, this young man, can not be bought for
gold. He is my Black Knight, he serves me, valiantly as his late father had,
Sir Black Knight Mark. No, my friend, he must stay here with me."
Pharoah Khayman: "Ah, curses, alas wives, no young Knight, as your play
toy."
Mekare/Maharet/Jesse: "Oh curses." They answer in unisons.
King Marius: "Sir Derek, I will take care of their arrangements, you are
dismissed. Check on my son for me. Bring him down to sup with us in an
hour. You may join us as well."
Sir Derek: "Yes, my King."
:::Sir Derek bows before Pharoah Khayman, and the three man hungry wives,
and
the good King Marius. He steadfastly walks out of the Throne room. Shuts
grand doors behind him, and sprints fast to the library. Where he rushes in
and surprises his Prince:::
Prince Louis: "Mon Dieu, what the hell. What is wrong mon ami?"
Sir Derek: "The Pharoah, and his wives."
Prince Louis: "Oui, what of them?" He turns and pours himself a brandy and
one for Sir Knight.
Sir Derek: "He wanted...to...purchase me?"
Prince Louis: "Oh oui, but of course. He fancies red hair, female or maIe.
I should have warned you. But, I did not want to keep you from tending your
duties." ::winks:: "Please, sit here with me, and drink. My father, the
King, did not allow that, I assume?"
Sir Derek: "Yes, well thank you for the warning, my Prince."
Prince Louis: "Mon Dieu, are you always on your toes. Sit down, with me,
please, I want to speak to you. You are my confidant." ::he watches as he
sits down:: "I think you need this more than me." ::Prince Louis pours Sir
Knight another brandy to the top:: "Calm yourself, now, we speak. What have
you heard in the villages? All of them, in the entire Kingdom. As to how
many will come to my Ball tonight."
Sir Derek: "All of them. At least 500 close to it, maidens, will be
accompanied, by older brothers, older cousins, uncles, or fathers, if they
are unable to. All maidens, must be accompanied by a male relative, proper
etiquette."
Prince Louis: "Mon Dieu, does that mean, I have to see, the Brat?"
Sir Derek: "Brat, my Liege?"
Prince Louis: "Oui, le brat monster, Lestat."
Sir Derek: "I have not been by the De Lioncourt house. Since the maiden
Jewel had escaped, and the Scarlet Lady."
Prince Louis: "I see." ::Prince Louis grabs the bottle, and pours another.::
Sir Derek: "Yes, my Prince, it appears, that a cloaked stranger, has visited
the Scarlet lady, and played Chess with her. My Prince, you are not to
leave, unless I am accompanying you. What would happen, if something were to
befall you. I would take certain revenge, if I didn't lose my head, in the
process."
Prince Louis: "All right nursemaid." ::Prince Louis Laughs:: "Oui, I went
there many times to play chess. Mon Dieu, if you are not my guard, or my
friend, you are my nursemaid and keeper."
Sir Derek: "My Prince, we were boys together, why would I not stand loyal at
your side?"
Prince Louis: "Oui, of course, and I to you, my friend. Now, tell me, what
of Jewel. Have you heard anything more, of her?"
Sir Derek: "I believe, as far as I know, the maiden, is still in hiding at
the Scarlet lady's. I will check into it for you,
and report back to you."
Prince Louis: "Ah, I would say forget the Ball, I found which one, I
wanted."
Sir Derek: "My Prince?"
Prince Louis: "Oui, Jewel, the maiden, that connected her head with my own.
How beautiful and radiant she was."
Sir Derek: "My Prince, you are a gem."
Prince Louis: "Likewise to you, nursemaid." ::Prince Louis winks:: "Come,
I want to eat. Dine with me, and father, mother is busy still, with her
ballgown."
Sir Derek: "I can not eat."
Prince Louis: "You will, eat, because, I said so. You need your strength.
After sup tonight, meet me at my Royal Bedchambers, so we can speak more
about Jewel. If you do not mind. That way, I can find a costume for you."
Sir Derek: "Me? Oh no, my Prince, you are too kind. I will wear, my new
black at your Ball."
Prince Louis: "Your armor?"
Sir Derek: "No, my Prince, what I wear under my armor. What I wear now. My
loose clothing."
Prince Louis: "Oh oui, your sparring clothes. Come, my friend, we dine."
Sir Derek: "After you my Prince."
:::Sir Derek, accompanies Prince Louis to the Royal Banquet hall, where the
King, Pharoah, and his wives, are sitting. The Queen is still not present.
Sir Derek, pulls his Prince's chair out for him. Stand's at ease behind his
Prince, and to the right King Marius:::
King Marius: "Sir Derek, you dine with us, tonight."
Sir Derek: "Oh, no, my good King, I am not hungry."
King Marius: "Sit."
Sir Derek: "Yes, my King."
King Marius: "Next to my son, the Prince."
:::King Marius, introduced his son, Prince Louis, to Pharoah Khayman. Who in
turned, introduced his wives to him. They all dined, speaking aloud, but Sir
Knight. Who sat there, and was nervously picked at his plate of food.
Prince Louis, nudging him in the ribs. His father was offended, Sir Derek,
was not eating, so Sir Knight, ate his sup, and drank the wine. The King was
soon pleased. As he was entranced, in conversation with the Pharoah Khayman.
After supper, Prince Louis, excused himself. Sir Derek, right behind and to
the side of him.:::
Prince Louis: "I am going to have a bath. Stand guard outside my door. I
will call you when I am...decent."
Sir Derek: "As you command."
(2 hours later)
::::The time was now 545 pm, and the guests had made their way into the
castle. The Knights and other guards, under Sir Black Knight Derek's
tutelage, were all tripled. Sir Derek, was found by the cloaked Prince, and
ushered away, so he can change himself. The cloaked Prince waited outside of
Sir Derek's chambers, down the hall, from his own Royal Bedchambers. Sir
Black Knight, tied his red hair up. Prince Louis, was no on that. He looked
his old friend over, and spruced him up a bit. He removed the tie, and Sir
Derek's hair flowed loosely. Sir Derek, merely shook his head. He
accompanied his Prince, back to his Royal Bedchambers, where he rid himself
of the cloak. And was all ready in costume. Sir Derek accompanied him to
the Ball room, where all the guests were humbly awaiting him silently. Sir
Derek introduced him.::::
Sir Derek: "Ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to introduce to you, my Prince.
Prince Louis."
:::Prince Louis, opened the doors, as Sir Derek stood the side of him. The
Ballroom was silenced, as they quickened to his fine, and handsome beauty.
None had seen the Prince, probably since when he was still very young. Sir
Derek, remained at his side. As Prince Louis found his spot by the Thrones,
and awaited for his father's next gesture, and the first maiden, was
introduced. Sir Derek, had to stand there and watch. He was looking for
Jewel, but, she was not present yet. Pharoah Khayman came to him, and stood
next to him:::
Pharoah Khayman: "Hello Knight."
Sir Derek: "Hello, my Pharoah." ::Sir Derek bowed his head::
Pharoah Khayman: "I see, you are close to his young Majesty. What happens,
when he is married, you will be unable to spend time alone and spar with
him."
Sir Derek: "Then, so be it, my Pharoah. My loyalties to him, such are as
they are."
Pharoah Khayman: "Surely, you may inquire, of my services. You are invited
to stay at my palace, anytime, you see fit. I would be honored."
Sir Derek: "Thank you my Pharoah, but, I will remain at my King's, the Queen
Mother's, and my Prince's side."
Pharoah Khayman: "I would take you, and treat you as my own Prince."
Sir Derek: "Yes, my Lord, thank you, but I must decline."
Pharoah Khayman: "You are looking for someone?"
Sir Derek: "Perhaps, my Pharoah, seeing to it all the maidens, receive the
dance with my Prince."
Pharoah Khayman: "Good job, young man, I will leave you to your tasks. Good
evening."
Sir Derek: "My Lord." ::he bows his head::
:::Sir Derek watches, and waits, but Jewel has not arrived. Then, a
messenger, goes to Sir Derek, and hands him a message.:::
Sir Derek: "What is this?"
Messenger: "From the Scarlet Lady, my Lord."
Sir Derek: "Thank you."
:::Sir Derek opens the letter, and reads the contents. 'Sir Knight, she was
found, and her stepmother, that awful woman, locked her away somewhere.
Daniel, and I, are trying to find her. But, we can not enter the house. It
is locked, please ride, Daredevil like the wind, and help us. Always, The
Scarlet Lady.' Sir Derek, waits for the Prince, to have his last dance, with
the maiden. Then shows him the letter:::
Prince Louis: "Go and get her, now, my friend. I will keep myself busy. Go
quickly."
:::Sir Derek bows his head, and quietly and unseen, leaves the Ballroom. He
runs to the stables, mounts Daredevil, puts on his black hooded cloak, and
rides him out the castle gates, at breakneck speed. The Ball had just
started, so there was time, but, time was on his hands. He arrives at the De
Lioncourt mansion, and see's Lady Gabrielle, and Lestat and Armand, in the
carriage. He waves a salute. He does not see her, in the carriage. He
waits until they are gone, before he makes his way around back. Where he
finds the Scarlet Lady::
Scarlet Lady: "Oh mon dieu, chere, you came."
Sir Derek: "As fast as I could, my lady. Please, go back to your chateau,
and I will bring her there to you."
Scarlet Lady: "How will you get in there."
Sir Derek: "Never worry your pretty head on that. I will find a way. Look,
there's the basement. Go quickly."
::Sir Derek looks around, and see's none. He takes his sword out, and breaks
the glass, with the handle. He looks inside, and see's Jewel in there. She
was crying, and she was asleep. He quietly entered, and was careful not to
cut himself. He went inside, and woke her up:::
Jewel: "My Lord, you came, that awful bitch, pardon my words."
Sir Derek: "I am not offended. Come with me, I will help you out."
Jewel: "How will they know I remained. You broke the glass."
Sir Derek: "I will see to it, that it is mended, with new. Come, please,
let me help you out of this dark hole."
:::Sir Derek helped Jewel out. She was still wearing the rags, of her once
beautiful gown. She was shivering and cold. He took off his black cloak,
and wrapped her up in it. He mounted Daredevil, with her behind him, and he
took to a shortcut, in the woods, to the Scarlet Lady's chateau. They were
there in a matter of minutes:::
(NW)
Quickly taking Jewel off of Daredevil. She and Sir Derek rushed into the
flat quickly. Wishing not to be seen, the door had already been fixed,
courtesy of Daniel (Jewel and Sir Derek knew that the glass in the
basements had been fixed already).
When they got inside they bolted the door quickly, and Daniel mad sure hat
the door had turned to iron. "Well then," the fairy god person once again
spoke "lets try this again shall we??"
He placed Jewel in the center of the room and gave her a small vial and
told her to drink it. She had no reason to distrust him so she did.
The contents were gone in less than a half a gulp. Daniel chanted a few
magic words the no one understood and all of a sudden a lavender for
enveloped her, then with flash of lavender light which had blinded the
others. When the fog and the Flash of light had disappeared. Where the rags
had once been there was now a beautiful lavender gown on her body
and silver shoes were on her feet as well as a silver sash and a silver bag
tucked into her sash, and one of the most beautiful masks set upon the
upper half of her face , it was a lavender mask with silver feathers set upon
it.
Now Daniel was telling her she had to be back by midnight, now this was
plenty of time because it just had turned dark and the star were just
beginning to come out, while she had her back turned Daniel did one more tiny
spell that she was un aware of one that filled her hair(which was pulled
back yet hung loose)with silver glittery stars that looked like as if the
were plucked from the heavens themselves.
When she walked outside there was a beautiful carriage that hadn't been there
before it looked like it had been made of a piece of the moon.
another quick reminder from The fairy and she was on her way to the Ball

He
walks down, and out to the courtyard, where he see's his Prince, waiting for
him patiently::::
:::Sir Black Knight Derek, and the Prince Louis, were in the courtyard
sparring against one another. Sir Knight, knocking his Prince on his
backside. Many numerous times.:::
Khayman:::
Where he rushes in
and surprises his Prince:::
Sir Derek, right behind and to
the side of him.:::
Sir
Derek introduced him.::::
Pharoah Khayman came to him, and stood
next to him:::
Where he
finds the Scarlet Lady::
