Spinning is so much cooler than not spinning.

Because seeing PotC 4 this past Friday (meaning opening day) has refreshed my love for mermaids (Not Ariel, *blergh*) and has inspired me to reread the "Swimming with the Fishes" trilogy by MaryJanice Davidson (Ah there such a shortage of decent mermaid romance books (I didn't like Splash! I just didn't.)

I hated that Ariel had to give up her voice to get her man, I don't care if that's what happed in the original HCA fairy tale I still don't like it. BTW She didn't get her man in the fairy tale. But I suppose I like the HCA story better than the Disney version. Yeah go figure I'm the one who like Cinderella in any incarnation I can get my hands on. Except the Gregory Maguire book, I forget the name but it had stepsister in the title. I am totally open to his Snow White story from the stepmother POV though. I've just yet to buy it *is lazy*


But yeah Fred is my preferred mermaid of choice.
