Ugh! Sometimes I hate iTunes!
Mar. 17th, 2010 07:32 pmRemind me to never let my Inbox and message settings get that bad again! I must've deleted hundreds of old comment "notification" settings, keeping only a certain few that I'm attached to behind.
Also I'm beyond pissed at what happened to me yesterday. I went to McDonald's yesterday to use the wi-fi there to download a couple of albums among a few other random smattering of songs. 37 tracks in all. I hung around McD's long enough for them to finish downloading and headed home. when I got there I hooked up my iPod to the computer to transfer them.Only to find out I'd lost them all but 6!
Now this is not the first time this has happened. The first time I downloaded Stephen King's Audiobook "Ur" (which BTW IMOHO is the best short story/novella Stephen King has ever done!) only to have it completely missing when I returned home to upload it to my computer. It vanished! $10.95 plus tax down the drain!
And for some stupid reason I didn't ask itunes support about it and bought it again from my desktop this time.
However yesterday I bought 37 songs (2 of which were free and wasn't really fussed about those) and the majority of those were gone. So as quick as I found find the link and email- ITunes support I told them exactly how I felt about it and didn't with to spend another $20-$30 just to get what should've been mine in the first place! A short time later I received a confirmation e-mail of the support request , then nothing until this morning.
When I finally signed on for the day I noticed I had received an e-mail from them earlier in the day. And now I'm downloading them again (but painfully slow on dial-up) free of charge thanks to the screw up yesterday. I'm not pleased having to do this again and so slowly but at least I'll get them all again, eventually.
