Long, long, looooonnnnnggggggggggg day.
Mar. 10th, 2010 02:52 amI had a bit of an odd, but mostly delightful, day today.
It started out with me waking up at 5:15 in the morning to get ready to go to the Dentist with Mom (her appt. not mine, thank God!)It was in either Bristol or Bluff City, I couldn't tell they were close enough together. We had to leave early enough so we could have breakfast at McD's. We finally got there at about 6:45 and shortly afterwards the line grew so I waited in the car and took advantage of the free wi-fi that was overflowing from the nearby RV park.
I knew I shouldn't have worn that long-sleeved shirt. I had no idea it would have gotten so warm today (Tuesday). I sat in the car for about 3 or 4 hours waiting for her to come out. (the patients were mostly walk-ins). My poor iTouch's battery was below 20% (more like 5% by the time I milked that poor battery for all it was worth!) when she finally came out, to only have to tell me she had be back there at 2:30 for the main part of her appointment (hell the first few hours were impressions alone! Her and everybody elses I guess)! She took me home because I don't think I could've stood another 3 hours in that car with that shirt on (I guess had I decided to stay we would've found someway to kill time). So she dropped me off, picked up her work bag and headed back to the Dentist office and had to be about 2 and a half hours late to work late for work.
And SO when I got back home I fed the babies (the dog and cat) and fed Lizzy Rose (the iTouch for those keeping score) and watched my soap while waiting for my iPod to fully recharge before heading off to do my own business. During which in the 2 DVD's for $10 bin I found a 2 DVD deluxe edition of "Charlie and the Chocolate factory" and a copy of The Corpse Bride. My lucky day finding 2 Tim Burton movies so cheap (and two that I've never seen before ) So that raises my Tim Burton Collection up by 2.
BeetleJuice
Sleepy Hollow
Sweeney Todd
I've seen a few other TB movies but I don't have them on DVD or I've only seen them once and wondered just WHY it's so damned popular, because I just didn't like it at all.! (That being "The Nightmare before Christmas") I've also seen Edward Scissorhands, Batman, Batman Returns,Mars Attacks!, Pee Wee's Big Adventure but never loved them so much I wanted a DVD or them.
His "Alice in Wonderland", however will be added to my DVD collection!
(man I've been writing this off and on all night at this point!)
And lastly and perhaps leastly when I went to McD's later on in the day, I was sitting there half paying attention to the TV (which is constantly on CNN there) and half on my iTouch when this little old lady speaks to me (and I didn't even know her). What she says is or rather something to the effect of) "Are you going to be on TV?" I look up at her and give her a confused look (it could be possibly confused with my WTF! face) She must've known I was confused until she tapped the back of my t-shirt. D'oh! I'd forgotten I was wearing my CSI: Myrtle beach shirt . heh
Ugh, been up for about 21 or 22 hours by now. I think I'll go to bed.
