I just had the weirdest (but also one of the kindest) experiences over at Wal-Mart today. You see I've known for a while that one of my former classmates works there as a clerk and I sometimes go through her lane whenever I'm checking out. But the odd thing was for the first time in the 15 or 16 years since I've graduated not one person has apologized for their behavior towards me. But today I didn't see it coming, someone I've never harbored ill will against (or they towards me) I didn't even know her in school nor did we ever exchange words but I could tell she wasn't like those whom I was bullied by.

But still today she apologized to me. Well not exactly "apologizing" I guess but I can't think of a better world for it (in other words I'm interpreting the basic gist of what she said because I can[t exactly remember how she phrased it). She said she thought she would let me know that she had nothing to do with the way the others had treated me and she was sorry for the way the others treated me and that she had nothing to do with why they did so (which frankly puzzled me because she never said or did anything, to my knowledge, that would make me think that she was in any way responsible for what the others said or did to me) but if it eased her conscious for whatever reason she may feel that she had to apologize to me for it then I'm glad she did so.

The only thing that puzzled me is that she felt she had reason to do so. Like I said odd but in a way kind.
