Also a note for this fic; Dumbledore was late to the quidditch match and arrived just in time to see both Harry and Cedric fall the last few feet before he could cast the "Aresto Momentum".

Note: I don't know what the portrait is that opens into the Hufflepuff common room, but I'm only assuming (with no proof) that its a painting of the"Fat Friar". Wow long part this time.

Over the next few days quite a lot of the Hogwarts population went home for the holidays. Cedrics mother and father were disappointed of course that he wouldn't becoming home, he'd mentioned something in his owl home that he'd be studying for his OWLs, which took place later in the school year. He'd planned on spending the few days leading up to Christmas in his common room studying alone, he certainly didn't want his parents to be disappointed when he got his OWL results during the upcoming summer. Just on Christmas Eve though, there came a knock on the common room door. It was odd Cedric hadn't a clue who it would be, as he thought almost every Hufflepuff was now at their homes (except for himself of course). Beside what Hufflepuff would knock if they knew the password?
