Vampire Chronicles author Anne Rice has put her stamp of approval on Warner Brothers' upcoming Queen of the Damned movie, based on two of the novels in the series. "Queen of the Damned is an energetic and innovative rendition of the Vampire Chronicles, featuring fine performances and a magnificent look," Rice says in a prerecorded telephone message at (504) 522-8634. "Well-directed, elegant and intriguing, the film is surely destined to take its place among notable modern interpretations of vampire mythology."
Queen of the Damned, directed by Michael Rymer and starring the late Aaliyah, opens Feb. 22.
A QotD SciFiWire interview of interest as I posted a while back.
