When Cedric Diggory first noticed Harry Potter, it was at their first quidditch match opposing each other. It was then and there he fell for the young Gryffindor seeker....quite literally. It was the first quidditch match of the school year. Slytherin had wormed their way out of it almost at the last minute because Malfoy had insisted he couldn't play because of his arm. Hufflepuff , almost at the last minute, had been notified that they would be playing against Gryffindor instead.
Cedric had felt uneasy about the last-minute match, he and his team, had barely managed to scrape up enough time for one practice before the big day. But the weather, as it seemed, had turned on him when the day of the Gryffindor/Hufflepuff match finally arrived. Bucketfuls of rain had doused both the players and the stands as the game progressed. Weighing down the players so badly they could barely fly straight, putting both teams at a disadvantage. Amidst the rain there was a tiny golden snitch that both Potter and Diggory hoped to find, but neither was having too much luck of it so far.
