Totally out-of the-blue SG-1 Random fic idea

I wish someone would write a fic where Daniel gets caught in a "Window of Opportunity"-like time loop where he and only he gets caught in a time loop. Post-Continuum is preferable. The purpose? The deal with his issues with Vala Ending with those two together at last. Who's to say Daniel doesn't give in once or twice to Vala's advances before admitting to himself he loves her (no one can convince me otherwise) and then by trail and error (all the while trying to learn of a way to get out of his time-looping predicament) trying to find out if Vala has feelings for him as well (of course she does!) And who's to say that a similar situation (like in Unending) didn't happen while Daniel was looping before he realized just how much he cares for her Why none of the D/V writers out there haven't come up with a story similar to this yet is beyond me.

Oh and one other thing..the SGU series and the "Destiny" don't exist. The 9th chevron is used for something else entirely (not needed in the fic, but hey it's my idea and if I say it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen, lol!)

Wow fertile imagination for me tonight.

Heck, as far as I'm concerned, anything past season three of Atlantis doesn't exist... there was no believable way Sam could have been promoted to full-bird Colonel so soon after her promotion to LTC, and based on some of her past command failures (the incidents with RepliCarter and Baal's clones come to mind), no way she'd be put in charge of a front-line outpost like Atlantis...

But that's just me. :D

I like the idea of the time loop, and I'm good with the later seasons, but, boy, would it ever not be the story you're looking for! ;) I may make use of that someday, but I'm afraid it will be entirely gen. It would take some seriously good ideas, though, given how many times Daniel brought up the 'you could do any thing you want without repercussions' thing.
