Shhh - Red Riding Hood Spoilers Ahead

You were warned! Identity of the Wolf and more ahead! Also Michael Shanks is really really hot on the silver screen!

I knew it was coming even before I set foot inside the theater. Even before I read the Red Riding Hood novelization (it really expands the movie for the better I think) (Thanks to those pics of him in costume walking around with his lunch, heh.) Michael Shanks dies even prettier on the movie screen. Yes that right Adrien Lazar dies by werewolf and his onscreen son did nothing to stop the wolf! (Poor Henry was petrified!)

I can so totally see Vala dragging Daniel to see this movie, hee.

Grandma was the Big Bad Red Herring! Not the wolf but then it was way too obvious (to me at least) that Valerie suspected her more than anyone else (up until Peter that is) but I knew it couldn't be her because it would've been a let down at the end of the movie if it had been her all along. Ditto with Peter.

Who the wolf really was though totally blew me out of the water. It's was Valerie's dad, Cesaire. You know the drunk guy who passed out in his own vomit at the celebration? Yep that was him. I totally had my best WTFuckingFuck face on when it was revealed. And Val accidentally eating some of poor old Grandmother? Eeek!

I mean Charlie Swan...a werewolf. It makes me giggle now but at the time I'm like "You sick perverted jerk! That was your DAUGHTER (Lucie) you killed!" Then he had figured it out that Lucie hadn't been his child after all (Suzette you hussy! In all fairness she had been in love with Adrien Lazar but she's been forced to marry Charlie Cesaire through an arranged marriage, I think.). realizing that only when he tried and failed to "talk" to her as he had later done with Valerie successfully.

Poor Lucie never really had a chance in love with her half-brother (Henry) and didn't even know it. Didn't even know that Cesaire wasn't her birth father. He killed Lucie because the poor girl was scared out of her wits.

Also poor little Claude. I adored the little guy and no one deserved that fate....except perhaps Cesaire.

I've probably revealed a little too much already but go see it for yourself. Don't let the critics or the naysayers online judge it for you. If you want to see this reason for one reason or another. Go. You may just find yourself pleasantly surprised and actually enjoy yourself . Also the soundtrack is worth a listen. It's different but it's gorgeous. especially the Fever Ray tracks.

Also I want a red cloak like Valerie's now. But I'll settle for a red hoodie instead.
