I hope my luck doesn't run out on me!
If I get the job (which I haven't applied before yet because you can only apply at the "job fair") I think I'm going to buy myself a kindle. I've got loads of free books on my Kindle on PC and Kindle for iPhone app (well it's not an iPhone I have but and iPod Touch). Also thinking if I do I'll buy "Stardust" and "Ur" for it as well (a short story by Stephen King about...a pink Kindle. Creepier than it sounds but damned intriguing! I love it.)
Now reading Catching Fire, these books may not be too well written but the plot and storylines are habit-forming! Now I kinda regret about reading the spoilers for the books on TVTropes.
Of those loads of free books are quite a few (10 in fact) Austen sequels or Austen-based books released by Sourcebooks publishers in the event of Jane Austen's 235th birthday along with 6 "illustrated" versions of Jane's work. Everything else on my kindle is mostly copyright-free (I think that's the term) novels by authors such as Dickens, Stoker , Shakespeare, Radcliffe (Ann not Dan, Ha.). O. Henry, and many others. Not to mention the occasional modern novel (many are first parts of a series designed to get you to buy the other books or novellas of a series designed to do the same).
